King Durian
The durian (IPA: [duɾiɑn]) is the fruit of trees of the genus Durio. There are 30 recognised Durio species, all native to Southeast Asia and at least nine of which produce edible fruit.[1] Durio zibethinus is the only species available in the international market; other species are sold in their local region. The durian fruit is distinctive for its large size, unique odour, and a formidable thorn-covered husk. Its name comes from the Malay word duri (thorn) together with malay suffix that is -an (for building a noun in Malay), meaning "thorny fruit".

It is also the birth flower for July.Water-lilies are rooted in soil in bodies of water, with leaves and flowers floating on the water surface. The leaves are round, with a radial notch in Nymphaea and Nuphar, but fully circular in Victoria.

Jam Gadang , Bukit Tinggi

The landmark of Bukittinggi is the clock tower, its own Big Ben. It is called Jam Gadang (Big Clock in the local language of the Minangkabau people).
The Dutch Queen gave it as a present to the city, at that time still called Fort de Kock, after the fortress in the centre of the city in 1926. It was constructed by the Dutch, but the design is local. The Minangkabau changed the roof several times over the years. Inside the tower is a staircase with 86 steps.Every hour the clock strikes. Funny is the IV that is written as IIII. By the way, the clockwork is German
